And the longer I do this, the more I believe something simple:

I'm Craig Capello, a Greater Boston based commercial photographer and filmmaker working throughout New England, New York and wherever the project takes me.
My work spans people, places and products—from executive portraits and corporate teams to architecture, hospitality, commercial products, events and film.
Some clients bring me in for one important project. Others I've worked with for years, returning whenever their team grows, their space changes, a new product launches or there's another story worth telling.
That's the kind of work I value most.
Not simply making photographs, but understanding a business well enough to become someone they trust to keep telling its story.
WHAT'S REAL LEAVES A TRACE.
Photography has changed enormously since I started.
The tools are better. Cameras are faster. Technology can create almost anything we can imagine.
But the thing I value most hasn't changed.
Something actually happened in front of my camera.
A person stood there.
Someone built that room.
Someone made that product.
That team really works together.
That moment actually happened.
That's what interests me.
I want the photographs I make to feel polished without becoming artificial. Intentional without becoming generic. Professional without removing the humanity that made the subject worth photographing in the first place.
No stock. No fiction. Just something real, photographed well.

A lot of my work happens where my clients actually work.
Corporate offices. Hotels. Healthcare practices. Manufacturing facilities. Conferences. Restaurants. Studios. Job sites.
I bring the lighting, equipment and production experience necessary to create studio-quality work wherever the project requires it.
More importantly, I make the process easy.
I plan carefully, communicate clearly and build workflows around the people I'm photographing—not the other way around.
Because great photography isn't just about what happens when I press the shutter.
It's about making the entire production work.
WHEN I'M NOT HOLDING A CAMERA.
I'm usually running.
Or watching a movie, wandering somewhere outdoors, obsessing over architecture and design, or spending time with my wife and family.
Running has become an important counterweight to photography for me. Photography makes me notice things. Running gives me the time to think about them.
I'm also a husband and father, which has probably shaped the way I think about photographs more than anything else.
The older I get, the less interested I am in photographs simply being beautiful.
I want them to mean something.
